Shipping & Returns

ORDERS & DISPATCH

Orders can be placed via our website or via email to sales@abodehaven.com.au. If items are in stock we will endeavour to dispatch your order as soon as possible. Metro Melbourne can expect to receive stock within 2 weeks. Metro Sydney and Metro Queensland can expect goods within 3 weeks and Metro Perth and other parts of Australia can expect them within 4 weeks.

FREIGHT

As a service to our clients, we endeavour to keep freight rates at a reasonable and fair price. We cannot guarantee that we can provide freight to all non-Metro areas of Australia, in this case, the freight will be the responsibility of the customer and any damages to goods are the responsibility of the purchaser. We recommend that when customers organise their own freight to use furniture carriers rather than couriers.

Please note that the price quoted for delivery is for one person, single-level premises and drop-off only. If you require any additional services please request them at the time of placing your order and we will endeavour to meet your needs. Please note this will incur additional charges and may not be possible in all instances.

BACKORDERS

Goods not in stock are backordered. This will be shown on your invoice and will not be charged. Backorders will be filled when stock becomes available. Payment will be required prior to dispatch. Freight is charged on backorders.

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations will not be processed unless received in writing. Delivery of goods invoiced before a cancellation is received will not be credited. Any orders that are cancelled once packed and ready for delivery will incur a 5% re-stocking and admin fee.

REFUNDS & RETURN POLICY

FREE CHANGE OF MIND RETURNS

We know buying off the internet can be daunting, so we wanted to help you out as much as we can.

If a product is marked as “Free Returns”, this means you have a period to try the product out and if it’s not for you, then send it back and receive a full refund.

Better yet, we will cover all the return shipping costs so you know there’s absolutely zero cost to you. 

Trial periods for each eligible brand are listed below and will be display on the product page:

Novasolo: 30 Day Free Returns Trial 

Calibre Furniture: 2 Day Free Returns Trial 

Canvas+Sasson: 14 Day Free Returns Trial

Simply send us an email at sales@abodehaven.com.au or call us on 02 7259 3753 and we’ll arrange for it to be picked up. 

Once the goods have been accepted, your refund will appear in 5-10 business days. 

To quality for a full refund, all product(s) must meet the following conditions to be accepted:

  • In brand new, re-sellable condition.
  • Returned in their original packaging (both internal & external)
  • Returned in unmarked and unused condition
  • Unassembled or in the exact state of assembly as originally delivered
  • Including all accessories and parts
  • Original receipts and invoice

If the returned product does not meet the above requirements, Abode Haven reserves the right to charge a restocking fee and withhold 50% or less of the product price paid by the buyer including delivery charges.

A full refund will only be processed once the product(s) have been received and inspected by our warehouse team and meets the above requirements. 

The below types of products are excluded from all change of mind returns:

  • Marble and reclaimed timber items
  • Made to order/custom products
  • Products which have been partially assembled or assembled in full
  • Items ordered under a bulk order
  • Clearance, Floor Stock/Ex-Display and/or sample products
  • Any sale items 

After the trial period has ended, no change of mind returns will be given.

OTHER RETURNS

Canvas + Sasson products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For further information as to your rights under Australian Consumer Law, please visit the Australian Consumer Law website.

Canvas + Sasson will only make, and is only obligated to make, a refund in accordance with the Refunds & Returns Policy, the guidelines for eligibility are detailed in this policy.


Returns and Credits are only accepted if authorised by Abode Haven and are received in writing using our form available upon request. Credit claims will only be accepted if notification is made within 7 days of receipt unless otherwise stated in these Terms & Conditions.

REFUND POLICY

Please choose carefully, we do not offer refunds or exchanges if you change your mind or make a wrong decision.

  • Where your products are damaged in transit
    • Goods are checked before they leave our warehouse. You must inspect your goods upon delivery and outline any faults or damage on the delivery note before signing it. If possible, please take a photo of the damage immediately following the delivery. Transit damage must be reported immediately. Once a customer signs and accepts delivery of items without notification of damage, goods are deemed to have been received in an acceptable condition.

Goods may only be returned by a carrier approved by Abode Haven. A handling charge may apply on goods returned. Returns and credits will only be processed once goods and the associated form has been received by our warehouse.

Abode Haven will not be responsible for damage caused in transit where a customer has used their own carrier.

  • Your goods have a manufacturer's fault/flaw
    • If you detect a manufacturer’s fault with your item you must notify us within 7 days. You will be offered a replacement item if available. If a replacement item is not available you will be offered a full refund. A refund is not available if a replacement item is available.

  • Goods damaged by you, natural wear and tear and Buyer’s Remorse
    • We will not accept the return of goods that are damaged by you (accidentally or otherwise) or due to natural wear and tear following delivery.
